Floral Prints & Rompers

One of my favorite items to wear during the Summer time is a romper of some sort. This season is all about the floral prints and I find that this particular pattern can make one feel ultra chic and feminine. You don’t want to get into a habit of only wearing Summer rompers and dresses (if I could, I would), because these styles have very little thought to them. All you have to do in the morning is roll out of bed and throw on a one piece garment and you can call it a day. You don’t want to get rusty with your styling skills, so as tempting as having some extra time to sleep in in the mornings, try to hold back from obsessing and re-wearing. Today I was having one of those mornings where I couldn’t be bothered with choosing a complicated outfit (thats what getting 4.5 hours of sleep, and going to the gym with your dad at the crack of dawn will do to you)! This is my newest addition to my romper collection and I must say I am very pleased with it. I scored this beauty from the B.P. section from Nordstrom for only $38! The junior section over there tends to have pretty tacky things, but during the right season, and a lot of patience, you can usually come up with something that can make you smile.

Today’s Diamond In The Rough

I have always been a fan of Nicole Richie. I don’t know why or how I became obsessed with her bohemian chic look, but she has it down like no other. Recently, she started her own shoe & accessory line called House of Harlow. Soon after she started designing a fashion line called Winter Kate. Obviously I am a fan of both, and there are many things I want from the collections. This morning I found a great cardigan from her clothing line that is the perfect garment to have all year long. It isn’t a heavy weight piece, so it would be ideal to either layer as many things underneath to keep you warm, or just a simple tank so you don’t get too hot. Personally, I like these types of cardigans to be oversized, so even when they are out of my usual size, I will get whatever they have, because you can always find a way to make a larger item work ( belts cinched at the waist). I feel that people tend to stay away from green, not necessarily on purpose, but it is one of those colors that doesn’t go with much. I do think that this particular item is very fresh and would fit nicely into a wardrobe.

Get it here.

Shoes, Shoes, & More Shoes

Today I went shopping with my friend Shelly. Sadly, we didn’t have a very successful day, the stores just seemed to be lacking a pretty major thing… clothes! It was pretty sad with how empty and bare the whole mall was, from the merchandise to the actual customers. The only things that truly caught my attention were all of the fabulous shoes that lined the displays. There are way too many that are on my list, and I am happy that I had Shelly with me to hold me back on any impulse buys. Here are some top shoes that are on my list, and I am sure on many of yours!
