My Week

Whenever my boyfriend leaves on a trip I am always worried that the time will go by way too slow and I’ll be miserable for the majority of it. I have to say that this week went by incredibly fast and I had a fabulous and very relaxing break. We went to celebrate Christmas at my oldest friends house which was really nice! I also hung out with my family while recovering from a cold, was able to squeeze in a manicure & pedicure and a wonderful lunch at the Neiman Marcus Cafe. I’m looking forward to the New Year, and hope you all have a fabulous celebration!

The Key To My Heart

I’ve always been a huge fan of Marc Jacobs, but when I came across this dress covered in mini velvet hearts at a consignment store, my love for him grew even more. He most definitely has my heart; he knows how to make a classic dress with a playful twist that’s exceptionally flattering. I love when any garment, (but dresses in particular) can be worn day or night with the right accessories. I originally got this dress for an event I had to attend and since then I’ve worn it out and about in the city, no occasion necessary!

Push it to the Limit

It sometimes only takes one piece in your closet to inspire a look that typically isn’t your style. Though, I do have to say that I have pretty eclectic taste, which means that my style doesn’t only fall into one category, it falls into a whole assortment of categories, which I prefer! My dad bought me this pea coat about four years ago when I moved up to the city, because ‘I didn’t have any coats to keep me warm.’ Surprisingly, he fell for it and of course I wore it a few times and then moved onto another coat (or two) but never got rid of it. It’s a classic piece that makes me feel sophisticated and it has the ability to balance out  something a bit more playful, like these red pants. I love when clothes can push your personal style in a way that you never could have imagined it going.
