Blush has easily become one of my favorite colors over the last few months. Its candy-coated shade makes it appealing to wear on its own, especially during warmer seasons. It’s one of those in between colors that makes it acceptable to wear during Fall and Winter (though it makes me think of balmy Summer nights) making it one of the most versatile hues out there. Just like everyone else I’m sad to see the hot sunshine slowly leave us, so this outfit was the perfect compromise to embracing Fall and saying bye to good ol’ picnic days.
A lot of the time I feel as if I don’t have a lot of clothes, especially since I am constantly taking blog pictures and don’t want the same outfit to be photographed. Realistically that can’t happen because I don’t have an endless supply of money – you just have to become creative when it comes to styling daily outfits. You don’t need to wear the same look piece for piece but you can definitely use a top you’ve worn before and pair it with different bottoms and accessories to give it a completely fresh feel. I wore this blouse a while back and thought it maybe tricky to have on the blog again because of the bold print, but to my surprise this outfit feels as if all the pieces are brand new additions to my wardrobe.
This past weekend was the absolute best! My sister and her fiance came to visit us in L.A. and we were sure to do all of the necessary things one must do when visiting; most importantly trotting around from restaurant to restaurant eating as much as our stomachs could handle (let’s just say we have a fridge full of leftovers now!). After brunch yesterday we decided to drive to the Santa Monica Pier to walk around, enjoy the sun and the very clean golden sand – something that San Francisco beaches lack. Since it was a day of dining and lounging my outfit was super easy, lightweight and comfortable – I seriously have been living in these shorts since I bought them, they are definitely making their way to the top of my favorites list.
