Navy is definitely the new black. Some people may disagree but for me, it definitely is. I love how versatile it is and since it’s a darker color it can be worn for the day or night, which is always a complete score. What’s even better is when an adorable vintage-inspired dress is made in a navy lace and I get to have it! SheInside was nice enough to send me a few pieces from their site and I couldn’t be more happy! The dress has a 60s babydoll vibe (and a collar!) which if you don’t know me by now, let me tell you, I’m obsessed. I’ve also become a little addicted to pairing navy and rust together. So yes, consider yourselves warned; I feel an overflow of the colors coming your way!
Do you guys ever feel like a walking billboard for a store? I try not to wear too many items from the same brand in one outfit but when there’s so much cute stuff it’s hard not to. I didn’t even really realize how Madewell-esque I was until I was already out the door. Can you really blame me though? Their clothes are the epitome of effortlessly cool and being a girl on the go and all, it makes it especially easy getting dressed in the mornings.
It’s funny how things in a closet can be so easily forgotten about. As I was rummaging through piles of my clothes I came across a pair of peach trousers that I love but they somehow became a lost thought after moving to L.A. You can only imagine how happy I was when I found the pastel waistband peeking out under another pair of pants, I yes… had also forgotten about. I’ve been trying to come up with something to pair with my vintage blouse my best friend got me but for some reason I’ve had a hard time doing so. As soon as I came hold of my long lost trousers, I knew they would be the perfect item to wear with it.
