I am so sorry that I haven’t blogged in weeks! It definitely does not feel natural since it has become such a big part of my life. Hi everyone! I wanted to do a quick post to tell you all that I am home safe and sound from London and I have much to tell you all. I am officially moving into my apartment which won’t have internet for the next week so it will be very hard for me to do posts. I will try to get to a coffee shop that has internet so I can at least do a little something. Keep checking back because I will be up and running again in no time!

London Calling

I am so excited that the time has come for me to be off on my London adventure! I am finally going to visit my sister for the next week. One of my closest girlfriends, Giacoma, is meeting me over there, and we are ready to paint the town red! There will be a massive amount of shopping, picture taking, pub hopping, and site seeing, and I am more than ready to arrive. I am trying my hardest to not over pack because I certainly will need a lot of extra room in my bag on the way home, but I have decided if I have these few essential things with me, I will do just fine! I hope everyone has a great week, and I will be back to blogging as soon as I am back in the states, cheerio!

This week I have been talking a lot about different trends you should expect this Fall (here, here, here & here,). There are so many to look forward to, it may take another week or two to get through them all. One of my favorites that I am so excited about is vintage jewelry. I have tried my best to emphasize how important jewelry is in finishing a whole look. You can make an okay outfit into an amazing one if you know how to accessorize it correctly. For the Fall, try sticking to vintage bib necklaces, chandelier earrings, or simple pearls that look like they have been passed from one generation to the next.

Yesterday I mentioned I did a little bit of shopping. I can never resist going into Betsey Johnson even though it is very dangerous for me to walk into one of the stores. There is an incredible pair of shoes that I have had my eyes on for a little bit now, but they sadly didn’t have my size. I took it as a sign that I shouldn’t get them right then and there. Between the black and the lace, these shoes are ultra sexy. Betsey Johnson makes really comfortable shoes, so the heel doesn’t intimidate me in any way. These still remain at the top of my list because they can be worn with so many fun crazy outfits!

Luscious Lips

Today was a hectic day filled with a lot of driving and errands. To reward myself from running around, I squeezed in a little bit of shopping time. I love when you are looking for something very particular and a smart sales person comes to help. I was looking for a red lipstick that I could wear out at night or even during the day if I wanted to. I am not one to wear a lot of lipstick. I mean I have a a color or two that I am very fond of, but besides those I stick to my lip-gloss. When the make-up artist had me put on the red color I was pretty embarrassed with how terrible I was at putting it on. She told me not to worry whatsoever, and she gave me a little tip: use a liner that you can fill in the imperfections with. Not only will this make your lips look fabulous, but it will make them look so much more full. I was amazed with the results, and bought a lipstick and a creme stick liner. I am telling you this little tip will make all the difference… and it works with any color!

I can never resist Chanel. Let me rephrase that, I think most ladies can’t resist Chanel. I wish I was in a position where I could afford one of the classic bags, but as of right now, I am not even close. I found such a beauty this morning and thought it would be the perfect style for Fall. Fall has many trends, and one of them happens to be small chain bags, so this makes the cut. This is the type of bag that can be used casually during the day, or formally at night. That’s Chanel for you!

Lace Ups

I’m going to be completely honest with all of you. When lace up boots started to fill the department stores months back, I was pretty mortified from what I saw. I was even more mortified when my sister told me she wanted to get a pair, I couldn’t understand it whatsoever. Months later I am a crazy lace up boot fiend! I think that these military inspired shoes have an edginess to them that nothing else can compare to. Don’t get me wrong, I love having my girly high heels also, but the support and comfort that comes with these boots are very attracting. If you are a stiletto, over the knee, short, or tall kind of boot lady, you are in luck because these babies come in all of those and more! Make sure you grab yourself a pair when Fall rolls around.

I have decided that it is time for me to get a watch. I will admit that I do have a few pairs, but they are too big, and I clearly wear them on occasion for the look. Watches have to be sophisticated and versatile, because it is really the one thing people truly wear on a daily basis. There are so many different styles of watches out there so it makes it hard to narrow down your favorites. I happen to love Toy Watch. I think it is a very fun brand, that has a casual feel to their watches. I found a white one on Ebay this morning, and I was immediately drawn to it because it was bedazzled. What can I say, I love sparkles!

I have become a very big fan of John Robshaw. His collections always have a very serene, relaxing feel to them, so you can understand why many people would want to be surrounded by his blankets, pillows, and throws. You can tell from his designs that he is extremely inspired by different cultures and countries. There is always an amazing selection of different fabrics and colors to choose from and the best part is that it is pretty affordable! There really is something for everyone’s personal style, whether you are into brights, neutrals, patterns or solids, he has them all! I was thrilled to see the Fall 2010 catalogue, but now I am having a hard time narrowing down the things I want. I am sure you all will be in the same position as me once you view his things.
