The Black Swan

I am one of those people who absolutely loves scary, thriller & drama filled movies but I always seem to regret watching them once I get into bed. I couldn’t resist seeing the new movie, The Black Swan starring Natalie Portman. Not only is Darren Aronofsky my favorite director, but Portman is always entertaining to watch and most importantly, the costumes were designed by the sisters who are behind one of the top fashion brands, Rodarte. The film was beautifully made, the costumes were absolutely gorgeous and Natalie Portman did an incredible job playing her part that kept almost everyone in the audience at the edge of their seats. This is a must see movie that should be added to the top of your holiday movie list.

Love And War

If there was a way to go back in time I would definitely choose to be a part of the roaring 20’s. This was a huge time of change for  women, rights and fashion, which makes it that much more of an intriguing decade. I enjoy flipping through old books or watching movies that pertain to this era. My older sister took part in co producing, assistant directing and script supervising a short film called Love and War, which takes place during the jazz era. They had a small dedicated crew that was able to create a film that had everything from fashion and love to pain and war, leaving an impression and a need to see more.

MTV Movie Awards

Okay, I am a little behind on giving my opinion on what was worn on the red carpet for the MTV Movie Awards. I must say that there were more outfits that I didn’t like than there were of me liking.

Likes: The Hilton’s & Whitney Port

As much as I despise the Hilton’s, I will say that they came in some simple, nice outfits. I am more attracted to Paris’s dress than her sisters, but if you saw what other stars wore, you would agree with me that they looked pretty good. Whitney Port always looks good in my book. She has a very simple, sweet style that she always rocks.

Dislikes: Lindsay Lohan & Katy Perry

I am sad about Katy Perry, because I always think she is a very attractive girl, who usually dresses well. Don’t get me wrong, I love the dress she chose to wear, but that electric blue hair just ruined the whole look for me. I don’t know what Lindsay was thinking when she was getting ready for the red carpet. Her outfit is beyond heinous, and I don’t care who you are, this outfit would not look good on anyone!
