Chalkboard Decor
I’ve always been drawn to the idea of having a designated area where we could leave silly notes for each other, recipes, or a current grocery list without having it be permanent.Adding a chalkboard to a home is a quirky idea that can make a living space more welcoming to you and guests that come over. My boyfriend and I finally found a chalkboard that we both were satisfied with at the flea market a few weeks ago, and though we haven’t hung it up just yet we have found the perfect little cove for it. While searching the Internet I came across a few other chic living spaces that incorporated chalkboards making me think that we will have to rotate our newest treasure to different parts of our apartment.

Halloween Ideas
{Above left: Warren Beatty & Faye Dunaway in the film Bonnie & Clyde; Above Right: The real couple}
Halloween is by far one of my favorite holidays. We have an excuse to eat buckets of candy, attend parties and wear multiple costumes within a few days. As I have gotten older my taste in costumes have as well. When I was a kid I would go all out in scary make-up and witch hats, as a teenager I would find the shortest costume as possible and now being that I am 20, I’ve started to head down the classy costume road. A possibility that my boyfriend and I are toying with is being the stylish duo, Bonnie & Clyde. The mixing of style and crime is the perfect combination for a successful Halloween.
Quote of the week: ” Now is the most exciting time in fashion. Women are controlling their destiny now, the consumer is more knowledgeable, and I have to be better every single day.”- Oscar de la Renta
Have a wonderful Halloween weekend, CB

Closet Organization
It always seems to be extremely difficult to keep a closet organized especially when space is limited. I have moved many times in my life and have dragged my massive amounts of clothes with me wherever I go. However, whenever I move into a new place I try and go through all of my belongings and eliminate unwanted things by sending them back home with my parents or donating them (which is obviously the better thing to do). This not only keeps my wardrobe fresh and up-to-date, but it opens up a lot of extra space in a tight unit. I am a firm believer that cleanliness makes you feel less stressed and more calm, so over the years I have adjusted my closet to my liking making the best out of a small area. Help enhance your newly organized closet by visiting My-Wardrobe for the latest looks.

My closet is set up into semi color coordinated sections by style. Having a closet split up into recognizable sections makes it quick & easy to find what you’re looking for.

A designated jewelry section is key to not losing your favorite jewels. Hang mismatched knobs and fun bowls to organize your different pieces.

Save space and money by having a few baskets (that are color coodinated) for shirts and blouses. This way you don’t need to have a dresser of any kind.

Take advantage of free wall space by hanging hooks near the top to hang your bags without them getting in the way.

Shoes are my weakness and it took me years to find a solution that kept everything organized. Buying the Ikea shoe holders saved my life; not only can I fit 1-3 pairs per cubby but I have a clear walkway (even with my boots on the ground) with a little extra room for some new pairs.
