I was extremely excited when jewelry manufacturer Anjolee got in contact with me about picking and customizing one of their special pieces. They have elegant jewelry for all people and occasions; a couple getting married can purchase a Wedding set, any gal can get a simple Anniversary band or go all out with a Diamond tennis necklace. What I especially like is that because the items are classic you can easily incorporate them into your daily wardrobe. I do have my fair share of chunky jewelry but I do love having a few dainty pieces that I can always wear that go with everything. I couldn’t be more pleased with my yellow gold band; it’s the perfect ring to wear on its own or even stacked with a few others. I love how a piece of jewelry can make you feel extra feminine, especially when it’s worn with pastels and polka dots!

Most people underestimate flea markets and pass up beautiful one of a kind things for newer items that are currently in stock at department stores. I happen to get great pleasure in digging for items (like these, these & these) for hours on end that no longer can be found. Yesterday was the first Sunday of the month so my girlfriend Michaela and I got an early start and headed to the Alameda Flea Market. Every monthly visit seems to get better and I always end up coming home with a great big smile on my face. I was exceptionally pleased because I came home with a few pieces that I truly will have forever: a vintage Chanel purse and bracelet, hat boxes, a white lace top and other fun jewelry. I always try and take advantage of antique fairs because you never know what special pieces you will find (at amazing deals) that will have a lasting impact on your life.

Yesterday I was taken back down memory lane while visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my boyfriend and his parents. I was immediately comforted by the salty smell of the water, the breezy but sunny weather, chocolate factories on every corner, and feeling like a kid in a candy shop while filling up baskets of fresh salt-water taffy. It truly brought me back to those carefree times where nothing in the world mattered (besides getting enough candy and chocolate at the various shops). It was one of those perfect days that was spent escaping from reality (which was much needed), and now I feel rejuvenated and plan on having more days like yesterday, because it’s always nice to feel like a kid again.
