I’ve been looking for another pair of cutoff shorts for ages, and finally found these vintage babes that fit perfectly. They’re a good length, aren’t too frayed, and actually fit! My other pair (which I love) are like four sizes too big, so I always have to wear a belt with ‘em, even when I don’t want to. What I love most about cutoffs is that you can literally throw on anything and your outfit will look good. I don’t know how, but it’s true. I’ve already worn these more times than I’d like to admit, and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.

Usually I try and stay as far away from white [clothes] as possible because I always (seriously, always) get myself dirty. But this summer I’ve been all about that monochromatic look. I’m into how crisp and clean it all looks and feels, and I’d rather have that feeling, than avoiding white altogether. And let’s be honest, a chunky gold bracelet against white, is always perfection. Plus, I couldn’t resist wearing this after getting my hair done. Though I know for a fact I won’t be able to style it like this on my own. So in case you were worried (because I know so many of you were), my messy hair will be back in no time.
Summer in LA can be brutal. I know I shouldn’t be complaining because in the grand scheme of things, we have it pretty good out here. It’s usually always sunny and never humid. But when the temperature starts creeping up to triple digits, I need to have a stash of cute, easy-to-throw on frocks. And this one—which is from the same friend who gave me this—has quickly made its way to the top of my dress pile. The baby floral print never gets old, and I like that it’s black—a color that I usually (not so much recently) shy away from during the summer.
