Ginny’s Mexican Tea Cakes
Recipes that are passed down through a family are always the best. My sister’s fiance’s mom, Ginny, happens to be one of the best bakers I know. I’ve only been able to get my hands on her goodies a few times since she’s on the opposite side of the country. The few times that I have had her baked goods have changed my outlook on sweets’ potential (coming from a true sugar-holic). She was nice enough to write up a few of her recipes for me that I requested and then I instantly got to work in the kitchen. I used her recipe for Mexican Tea Cakes; if you haven’t had these small delectable cakes before I highly recommend getting to work. They were exceptionally easy to make and they came out almost as good as I remember them being (Ginny has them down, that’s for sure). The only let down was that there weren’t enough of these to satisfy my sweet tooth, but I guess that’s a good thing, right?
